Ryanair Chase And World Hurdle Both Attract Field's Of 12 Runners

12 Horses have been declared for the two feature races on the third day of the Cheltenahm Festival, the Ryanair Chase at 2.40 and the Ladbroke-sponsored World Hurdle at 3.20. The most notable withdrawal from the 2m 5f Grade 1 chase was the ' Mouse ' Morris-trained First Lieutenant, runner-up to Cue Card 12 month's ago but with conditions drying out at Prestbury Park it was always odds-on that the Presenting gelding would be re-routed to Friday's Betfred Gold Cup.

Bookmakers may find it hard to find a clear favourite on the day with Dynaste, Benefficient and Al Ferof all quoted around the 7-2 / 4-1 mark a full six points clear of any other runner. The Philip Hobbs-trained Menorah was pulled up in last year's race but should have conditions to suit on Thursday and can be backed at a best price 12-1 with Stan James who also quote Irish challenger Hidden Cyclone at the same odds.

Boston Bob, unlucky when falling at the last in the RSA Chase last year when looking all over the winner will return to fencing rather than take on the likes of Annie Power and Big Buck's in the World Hurdle 40 minutes later and is a top price 10-1 with Betbright.

As expected, the World Hurdle at 3.20 revolves around 4-time winner Big Buck's and highly-regarded mare Annie Power with the latter now clear favourite at a best price 15-8 with several bookmakers including Coral and William Hill, while the former has drifted to a general 3-1. At Fishers Cross ( 8-1 Coral ) will bid to follow up last year's victory in the Albert Bartlett while Rule The World and More Of That will have their supporters at the 10-1 available with Skybet and Betvictor.

As well as Big Buck's the Paul Nicholls' stable will be represented by Zarkandar, Celestial Halo and Salubrious and while Willie Mullins has left in Quevega, hot favourite for today's Mares' Hurdle but most unlikely to line up for a second time at the meeting.
