After Hurricane Fly secured Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival for the punters, Lord Windermere's victory in the RSA Chase ensured Day 2 went the way of the bookies.

Rory Jiwani of said, "We were fearing the worst after favourite Back In Focus got up late on to beat Tofino Bay in the NH Chase but results definitely went our way after that.

"The Irish banker Pont Alexandre turned out to be a blowout as The New One charged up the hill to win from Rule The World. We cut Nigel Twiston-Davies' five-year-old from 25/1 to 14/1 for the 2014 StanJames Champion Hurdle but quickly had to shorten that to 10/1. He's also 7/1 for next year's World Hurdle.

"Despite going top price every runner in the RSA Chase, everyone wanted to be on Unioniste who was sent off the 5/2 favourite."

Fortunately for the bookmakers , Paul Nicholls' charge was never able to land a blow as Jim Culloty's Lord Windermere got the better of fellow Irish raider Lyreen Legend in a gruelling affair. Stan James make the winner 16/1 for next year's Gold Cup with the runner-up a 20/1 shot. Boston Bob fell when leading at the last and we make him a 16/1 shot for gold next year.

"Sprinter Sacre won the Queen Mother Champion Chase is typically dominant fashion and Nicky Henderson's superstar is 2/5 to retain the title next year. Only injury can stop him as he is quite simply perfection in equine form." commented Rory Jiwani.
