The 2011 Cheltenham Festival will be covered via a rolling news service on Sky Sports News direct from Cheltenham Racecourse until 12.10pm each day after further discussions were held yesterday between the broadcaster and Racing UK .

A previous restriction that coverage could only be broadcast from the course until 10.30am has therefore been lifted and Sky will continue to have access to the Racing UK footage for non-live use and Sky Sports News will continue to provide a wrap up program for viewers after racing .

The Cheltenham Festival begins on Tuesday March 15th and Irish bookmaker Paddy Power have confirmed that they have no plans to repeat last year's stunt of erecting a "Hollywood" style sign in a farmers field on Cleeve Hill . Spokesman Paddy Power said"We won't be doing any guerilla marketing but we will be doing loads of special offers . We have one or two other things but nothing with the impact of the sign."

Paddy Power are currently offering to refund all losing bets on the first race of the Festival if the favourite Cue Card wins . This as always represents a huge gamble that could cost the bookie a fortune if Cue Card were to win the opener , the Supreme Novice Hurdle for which the odds are around 9/4 .
